I told stories for a living. But there was one story I hid for 20 years. My own.
For 20 years, I was the voice for all the aspects of my life I felt I could not share about myself. I was a voice for the working mothers who were battered by the societal ideation of feminine beauty, resilience, and relationships whose dark secrets were silenced by fear. I was a voice for the child who wanted to take their own life because I could not imagine a world without the three of mine, and a voice for the women struggling to find their place in the world as philanthropists, public speakers, entrepreneurs, and more. For 20 years I spoke for them, but 20 years later I realized that it was them who spoke for me. I now dedicate my life back to all of you whose stories I have had the privilege to know and tell, for you made me realize the true value in telling my own story. I thank you for allowing me to speak up for you so I could find the strength to speak up for me. This is for you.
